The below pattern is called the driver goal gap pattern for work system re-engineering. It describes the motivation, strategy, and implementation elements that are related to the formulation - in response to drivers - of goals for a Facility (or Work system producing products or services ), and to the determining, documenting, and validating of the gaps between the desired plateau (that achieves the stated goals) and the current plateau (gap analysis).

The relevant interaction realm is Monitoring & evaluation (Interaction Dictionary).

There is an illustration of this pattern in a library's value to patrons and community.

Drivers, goals and gaps for a facility or work system (pattern using ArchiMate's model elements)

The pattern has been created using ArchiMate® 3 model elements in the Archi - The Free ArchiMate Modelling Tool.
