Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework
The Enterprise architecture framework (FEAF) defined by the US Federal CIO Council which equips the Office of Management and Budget and Federal agencies with a common language and framework to describe and analyse investments.

In addition to utilising layers and aspects (as the ArchiMate Framework does) the FEAF also defines levels of scope for (enterprise) architectures:
- Level international
- Level National
- Level Federal
- Level Sector
- Level Agency
- Level Segment
- Level System
- Level Application
The framework includes these Reference models which it shares with IndEA Framework:
- the Performance Reference Model (PRM),
- the Business Reference Model (BRM),
- the Application Reference Model (ARM),
- the Data Reference Model (DRM),
- the Infrastructure Reference Model (IRM) (Technology Reference Model or TRM in IndEA Framework) and
- the Security Reference Model (SRM).
