Social Contract
Jean-Jacques Rousseau1: The Social Contract is the agreement that provides the solution to "The problem (is) to find a form of association which will defend and protect with the whole common force the person and goods of each associate, and in which each, while uniting himself with all, may still obey himself alone, and remain as free as before."
In contemporary society, the state or government may have an impact on the functions listed at government function maps (in the Actor Atlas), and likewise the (codified) social contract has often reached an extended form as indicated for the different countries of the world in their statute book, with a diverse range of actors making up the form of association which will defend and protect with the whole common force (these actors are described in the country actor map).
